Secrets Are Satans’ Chains

August 22, 2016 Tara Joy 0

Secrets tell us the lie that no one would understand. The lie that it is better, easier, or less embarrassing to hold it in then to come clean. They convince us that the consequence of telling someone is too great, and worse than keeping it locked away inside. But I tell you that secrets are satans’ chains meant to enslave you and keep you from the one who can heal the brokenness inside. “For nothing is hidden, except t one revealed; nor has anything been secret, but that it would come to light.” -Mark 4:22 When I was a little [Continue Reading…]

Skirts – Why I Wear Skirts Daily 2 Year Update!

August 8, 2016 Tara Joy 0

Two years ago, I made the decision to wear skirts daily in response to my heart changing for God. I posted Why I Wear  Skirts Daily in effort to share with you where I was at in my journey. Am I still wearing skirts daily? What have I learned in wearing them? Two years ago we were living in the south east of the US. The temperatures made it fairly simple to wear dresses everyday, even in the winter. However, 8 months ago we moved to a place we’ve never been. This area has winds and temperatures we have never known. I quickly realized, having [Continue Reading…]

Love, More Than Words

July 25, 2016 Tara Joy 0

Hi Every One! Today I am blogging about LOVE at over at on 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. When we are at the alter on our wedding day, promising to love the other person for the rest of our lives, we smile and think about how wonderful and easy it will be. We feel love overflowing from our core of what the future with our new spouse may hold.   Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record [Continue Reading…]

Respect In The 21st Century

July 11, 2016 Tara Joy 0

Respect: “a feeling or understanding that someone is important and should be treated in an appropriate way.” While I was substituting for a few weeks in a kindergarten class, we would do a daily activity of spelling the “Happy Apples’” first name. The teacher would ask why the first letter was capitalized, and the students would reply, “because it is important!” The students name is important because the student as an individual is important. You are important, your spouse, your kids, your friends and your enemies are important and worthy of respect. Why? Because we are all created in the image [Continue Reading…]

View From The Top

June 27, 2016 Tara Joy 0

In May my family and I took a week vacation in the mountains. All week long we marveled at the view we don’t usually get to see. The view from the top of a mountain is like no other. It enables you to see out for miles over the city as well as the vast nature beyond. It is simply a breath-taking way to receive a new perspective on life. As we left our concrete jungle of nonstop development in the name of profit, advancement and innovation, I realize the perspective in which I had become accustomed was extremely narrow. [Continue Reading…]

Start of Life.

May 30, 2016 Tara Joy 0

When you accepted Jesus and dedicated your life to him, did you think that you have hit the finish line? Or did you know this was just the start of your journey? I must admit that once I dedicated my life to Christ in 2013, I believed I had finally got to where I was meant to be, and the rest would be smooth sailing. haha, I had so much to learn. I am a Christian now, I thought, everything should be easy now that God’s in my corner! Right? It was a rude awakening when that didn’t happen at all! What I failed [Continue Reading…]

Home is in Gods Arms.

May 16, 2016 Tara Joy 1

When I go home to God, whenever my time may come, I see such a beautiful picture that I cannot wait to experience. I am young again, no more than six years old. I am surrounded by pristine white clouds with a blinding light all around. I see my six year old self joyfully giggling with excitement running with my arms stretched wide towards a warm man dressed in all white. The man, whom I cannot do justice describing starts to kneel as I get close, opening his arms out to me, awaiting for my arrival. I run straight into [Continue Reading…]

Passover: God will Provide

April 25, 2016 Tara Joy 1

As I mentioned in Celebrate Purim: For Such a Time as This! I am studying the old testament with eagerness to begin practicing the jewish feasts and festivals that are just as much ours as christians as jewish. One of the most important ones is Passover, or Peach, which began this past Friday night or Shabbat. Not only is passover important for jews, but for christians as well because without passover, Jesus’ sacrifice would hold no meaning. God does things in history very methodically, in which everything is connected. So when we separate “jewish holidays” from Christianity, we loose touch with the intended [Continue Reading…]
