My Journey to Christ

April 11, 2016 Tara Joy 0

My journey of how I came to Christ, as written on September 25th 2015. Oh my, where should I even begin? My walk towards Jesus Christ has been a long one coming. God placed his mark on my heart when I was six years old. I grew up in a Christian home, always went to church with my parents (at least until high school), participated in Awanas and church musicals. At eight years old I climbed into my mothers bed and professed my belief in Jesus and God – then was baptized within a few months. The issue was I knew the [Continue Reading…]

A Loving God? Other Faiths go to hell? (PODCAST)

April 4, 2016 Tara Joy 1

Hello and welcome to the very first podcast of Faith In Every Day – Glorifying God in Everything Every Day. Today’s Faith In Every Day question comes from Carrie: Why do people of other beliefs have to go to hell? Even if they are “good people”? Is God loving?  That is an amazing question and definitely an understandable struggle. I think it is important to first establish Gods definition of a “good person”. A good person by Gods standard is someone who never sins against him. Anyone who has broken just one of his laws is not a good person [Continue Reading…]

Easter Is Better than Christmas

Easter is Better for Gifts than Christmas.

March 28, 2016 Tara Joy 0

**This is a RE-POST from Easter 2015** Happy Easter All!! I hope you had an absolutely joyous Easter Sunday! Going into this Easter with a goal of self-reflection on where I am with God and where I want to be, I came to a mind blowing realization.   I celebrate and look forward to Christmas much more than Easter. When Thanksgiving ends and the Christmas carols start, I get that warm feeling of anticipation deep down in my soul. But with Easter, it tends to sneak up on me. I know this year I was swamped with my work project [Continue Reading…]

Celebrate Purim – For Such a Time as This!

March 21, 2016 Tara Joy 0

Purim is here! Let’s Celebrate! Over the past few months, I have been reading the old testament. One question that has been sticking out to me is, why don’t Christian’s celebrate the Jewish feasts and holidays? Jesus was a jew, and it is written in the New Testament that he participated in feasts, including Passover. With God being the God of the Old and New testament, why do we treat the old testament as null and void? This was my thought process as I have expanded my knowledge of the old testament and the character of God. After much research [Continue Reading…]

God’s Days of Mercy.

March 14, 2016 Tara Joy 0

Christians in the western world have become accustomed to having the freedom to believe in Jesus Christ and follow him. There has been no consequence for claiming to be a christian, there is zero risk in having Jesus as your Lord and savior and we take that for granted. In my case, I grew up in a Christian home and accepted Jesus “into my heart” at a young age. I said a prayer and that was that, not much came after that though. A lot of times in the United States especially Christianity has become more a passing “fad” [Continue Reading…]

Friends for Nomads?

March 7, 2016 Tara Joy 0

It was right before last Christmas, my son and I went to Bass Pro Shop to see the fishes and pick up some gifts. There was another mother there with her son and we seemed to hit it off chatting away. Hoping to be friends, I gave her my number so we could arrange a playdate after the holidays- but I never heard anything. It could have been a number of things why she never got in touch but what stuck in my mind the most was me telling her that my family has moved a lot and that we [Continue Reading…]

Back to the Beginning

February 29, 2016 Tara Joy 1

Faith In Every Day is Back! After a long absence I could start off this post apologizing citing a whirlwind of things that happened which made me too busy – and though they’d be true they wouldn’t be completely accurate. The truth which it comes down to it is that I lost my vision. I took my eyes off the true reason for this blog — spreading God’s word and encouraging you in your journey — and I lost my voice. I tried so hard to be like other bloggers I admire that I lost hold of what God was speaking to my heart. [Continue Reading…]

My Husband Is the Best.

October 3, 2015 Tara Joy 0

Today is my husband and I’s anniversary! Another year down together, with a lifetime to go. We’re not doing much for gifts this year, with a tighter budget we are putting off the gifts. So instead I thought I would publicly praise and brag about my amazing husband. Here is a short list of some of the things I absolutely love about my husband. He is loyal to a fault. He is always honest, even when I don’t want to hear the truth. He works so hard to take care of our family. He sacrifices so that our family [Continue Reading…]

It would read: “The only things consistent in Life are Change, and God” Change and God are the only two things we can truly rely on in this [Continue Reading…]
